Therapy Intensives
For many people, weekly therapy simply isn’t enough to create the momentum needed for real change especially when anxiety, OCD, or panic disorder feels all-consuming. A therapy intensive offers a more focused, immersive approach that allows you to step out of survival mode and fully prioritize your healing.
Rather than working in short, once-a-week sessions, intensives provide extended time with your therapist over a shorter period. This creates space to go deeper, practice skills in real time, and make meaningful progress without constantly “starting over” each week.
Faster Momentum, Deeper Progress
Because therapy intensives are concentrated and structured, many clients experience progress more quickly. You’re able to stay connected to the work, build on each session, and apply new skills immediately which help your brain learn and adapt more effectively.
This can be especially helpful if symptoms feel urgent, stuck, or disruptive to daily life.
Personalized and Highly Supportive
An intensive allows therapy to be tailored specifically to you; your fears, patterns, triggers, and goals. With longer sessions, there is time to slow down when needed, practice challenging skills together, and receive real-time guidance and support.
You are not rushed, pushed, or left to figure things out on your own.
Break the Cycle of Avoidance and Overwhelm
OCD & Anxiety Disorders often thrive on avoidance. When therapy is spread out, it can be easy to fall back into old patterns between sessions. An intensive reduces this gap, helping you face challenges with consistent support and build confidence in your ability to cope even when things feel uncomfortable.
A Jump-Start to Healing
Therapy intensives can serve as a powerful jump-start whether you’re new to therapy, returning after a setback, or transitioning out of traditional weekly sessions. Many clients leave feeling more empowered, equipped with practical tools, and more hopeful about their ability to move forward.
An intensive doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out. It simply means you’re ready to give yourself the time, attention, and support your healing deserves.

1. What is a therapy intensive? A therapy intensive is a short-term, focused format of therapy that provides extended sessions over a condensed period of time (such as multiple hours per day over several days). Intensives allow for deeper work, skill practice, and faster momentum than traditional weekly therapy.
2. How is an intensive different from weekly therapy? Weekly therapy offers steady support over time, while intensives create immersion and continuity. With fewer gaps between sessions, clients can stay engaged in the work, practice skills in real time, and often experience progress more quickly.
3. Are therapy intensives overwhelming? Intensives are designed to be supportive and paced, not overwhelming. You are never forced into anything. The work is collaborative, and breaks are built in as needed. The goal is progress, not pushing you past your limits.
4. Do I need to stop my regular therapy to do an intensive? No. Many clients continue with weekly therapy before or after an intensive. Intensives often work best as a complement to ongoing care or as a short-term jump-start.
5. Are therapy intensives covered by insurance? Intensives are offered as private-pay services and are not covered by insurance due to insurance not covering the length of time that an intensive requires.
